General guideline for determining the proper seat-to-floor height for a wheelchair

• For individuals under 5’5” in height – use a hemi size wheelchair with a 17.5-inch seat height
• For individuals 5’5” to 6’2” in height – use an adult wheelchair with a 19.5 to 20.5-inch seat height
• For individuals over 6’2” in height – use a tall size size wheelchair with a 21.5-inch seat height
