The Jebsen-Taylor Hand Function Test is a unique seven-part test that evaluates a broad range of hand functions used in daily activities, like picking up objects, placing objects to specific points, and turning pages, providing a more comprehensive picture of overall hand functions. The tests are conducted using common items such as paper clips, cans or pencils.
 
The test is used as a scale for hand and upper limb dexterity, evaluating both fine and gross motor skills, and is commonly used in the evaluation of diseases such as muscular dystrophy, stroke, spinal cord injury, Parkinsons disease, carpal tunnel syndrome, and rheumatoid arthritis.
